Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in Career Day at 97 High School in Sofia, where I had the privilege of sharing my knowledge and experiences with the students regarding the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program. It was a day filled with enthusiasm, inspiration, and a deep sense of empowerment as I guided young people on how to participate in ESC projects. In this blog post, I will delve into my impressions and the impact of this event on both the students and myself.

As I stood in front of the eager faces of the students, I could feel their curiosity and desire to explore new opportunities. I began by introducing the European Solidarity Corps, explaining its mission to promote solidarity and offer young people a chance to make a difference in society. The students listened attentively, their eyes filled with hope and excitement.

To make the program more relatable, I shared my own journey as an ESC volunteer. I described the diverse projects I had been a part of, the skills I had acquired, and the meaningful connections I had made with people from different cultures. By sharing my personal experiences, I aimed to inspire the students and encourage them to step out of their comfort zones, embrace new challenges, and broaden their horizons through the ESC program.

During the interactive session, the students actively participated by asking questions about the application process, project opportunities, and the impact of the ESC program on personal growth. It was heartwarming to witness their genuine interest and eagerness to contribute to society. I provided them with practical tips on how to prepare a compelling application, emphasized the importance of selecting projects aligned with their interests, and highlighted the value of cultural exchange and personal development within the ESC experience.

As the day came to a close, I could sense the enthusiasm and motivation that had been sparked within the students. Many approached me to express their gratitude for shedding light on this life-changing opportunity. Witnessing their excitement and newfound awareness of the ESC program filled me with immense satisfaction and reinforced my belief in the potential of young people to create positive change.

Participating in Career Day at 97 High School and sharing my knowledge and experiences about the European Solidarity Corps was an immensely rewarding experience. It was truly inspiring to witness the students' enthusiasm and eagerness to explore the ESC program. I am confident that this event has planted the seeds of solidarity, empowerment, and international cooperation in their minds. I encourage every young person to seize the opportunity to join the ESC and embark on a journey of personal and societal transformation. Together, we can make a difference and build a better future through the power of solidarity.
